CHRC Condemns Sexual Violence by Thai Soldiers Against Cambodian Worker

Phnom penh: The Cambodian Human Rights Committee (CHRC) has strongly condemned the inhumane act committed by seven Thai black-uniformed soldiers against an 18-year-old Cambodian female migrant worker who was returning home from Thailand. In a statement released this morning, the CHRC denounced the incident in the strongest terms, stressing that sexual violence is a grave crime and a serious violation of human rights that must be punished without exception.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the CHRC is urging for justice to be served without exception, highlighting the severity of the crime and the impact it has on human rights. The committee reiterated its commitment to fighting against such violations and called for accountability in dealing with the perpetrators of this crime.
