Phnom penh: His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia, has extended his congratulations to H.E. Steven Pang Chee Wee on his appointment as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Singapore to the Kingdom of Cambodia, and thanked him for his warm greetings and Khmer New Year wishes.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, His Majesty expressed his confidence that the long-standing friendship and cooperation between Cambodia and Singapore will continue to thrive during Ambassador Pang's tenure. His Majesty conveyed this sentiment in a royal message dated April 6.

The Cambodian monarch also expressed his gratitude for Ambassador Pang's concern for his health and acknowledged the Ambassador's thoughtful wishes for his swift and full recovery. His Majesty concluded the royal message with best wishes of happiness and success to the newly appointed Singapore Ambassador.

His Majesty the King is currently in Beijing for a routine medical visit.
