Environment Ministry and TAFTAC Strengthen Green Industry Collaboration

Phnom penh: H.E. Dr. Eang Sophalleth, Minister of Environment, received a delegation from the Textile, Apparel, Footwear and Travel Goods Association in Cambodia (TAFTAC), led by Mr. He Enjia, President of TAFTAC. The meeting focused on a renewed commitment to promoting sustainable and environmentally responsible industrial development in the country.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the discussions emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Ministry of Environment and TAFTAC to advance green industry practices. H.E. Dr. Eang Sophalleth highlighted that companies can remain profitable while reducing pollution, thereby protecting public health and the environment. He stated that clean, green, and sustainable practices are central to Cambodia's industrial strategy.

H.E. Dr. Eang Sophalleth also noted that green industrial investment aligns closely with the Royal Government's broader economic modernization plans under the leadership of Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet. Mr. He Enjia welcomed the support and expressed TAFTAC's commitment to adopting environmentally friendly technologies across Cambodia's textile, apparel, footwear, and travel goods sectors.

The meeting sets the stage for strengthened public-private partnerships aimed at promoting sustainable industrial growth and positioning Cambodia as a regional leader in green manufacturing.
