Phnom penh: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has revealed that Cambodia will host the 20th Francophonie Summit in Phnom Penh from Nov. 15 to 16, 2026.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the date and venue were confirmed during a meeting held in Phnom Penh on Mar. 2. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Prak Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and H.E. Ms. Louise Mushikiwabo, Secretary-General of the International Organisation of La Francophonie (OIF).

During the meeting, discussions focused on the progress of preparations for the upcoming summit. Key logistical arrangements were reviewed, and ongoing efforts were assessed to ensure close coordination between Cambodia and the OIF for the success of this major international event, which is scheduled to take place in eight months.
