Phnom penh: The Ministry of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation (MISTI) has issued a notification announcing the organisation of the Cambodia Green Industry Awards 2026, which will be held in December 2026. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the awards aim to recognise, encourage, and provide incentives to factories, enterprises, and handicraft businesses that make efforts to use resources efficiently and apply new technologies in support of sustainable industrial development, as well as contribute to climate change mitigation and adaptation. The award programme offers several benefits, including national-level awards (gold, silver, and bronze), vouchers for payment of public services of the Ministry, award certificates, public publication, and recognition as role models for other factories, enterprises, and handicraft businesses. The competition is classified into three categories: large factories, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and start-ups. Eligible sub-sectors include garment, textil e, travel goods, and food and beverage. Owners of factories, enterprises, and handicraft businesses who wish to participate may submit applications from the date of the notification until Aug. 31, 2026. Applications can be completed online via the provided link, downloaded from the Ministry's official platform, submitted by email to [email protected], or submitted through the QR code included in the notification.
