Siem Reap:Some 510,528 foreign tourists visited the Angkor Archaeological Park between January and September this year, marking a 27.61 percent decrease compared to the same period in 2025.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the Angkor Archaeological Park generated over $24.2 million from ticket sales in the first nine months of 2026, a decline of 25.90 percent compared to the same period last year.
In September alone, the park attracted approximately 35,535 international visitors, experiencing a slight year-on-year decline of 0.32 percent. However, revenue for the month rose by 3.10 percent to nearly $1.7 million.
Located in Siem Reap province in northwest Cambodia, the 401-square-kilometre Angkor Archaeological Park is home to 91 ancient temples built between the 9th and 13th centuries. Inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1992, the park remains Cambodia's most visited and iconic tourist attraction.
