Minsk:Cambodia and Belarus have engaged in discussions aimed at expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation, reviewing progress under their existing cooperation framework.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the discussions took place during the fifth meeting of the Joint Committee on Trade and Economic Cooperation (JCTEC) between the two nations. The meeting was co-chaired by H.E. Ms. Tekreth Kamrang, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Commerce of Cambodia, and H.E. Leonid Ryzhkovsky, First Deputy Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus.
Approximately 25 senior officials and representatives from relevant ministries and institutions of both countries attended the meeting. The discussions focused on monitoring the implementation of the bilateral trade and economic cooperation framework and identifying new opportunities for expanding cooperation across various sectors.
The two countries explored nine specific areas for potential collaboration: industry; the supply of agricultural and food products; pharmaceuticals and medical equipment; civil aviation and air connectivity; finance and banking; science and technology; tourism, education and culture; bilateral trade; and business events and exchanges of visits between the countries' business communities.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to advancing their cooperative efforts and achieving tangible and effective outcomes.
