Water Supply Supports Minebea’s Expansion in Cambodia

Phnom penh: Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation H.E. Hem Vanndy received here on Wednesday a delegation from Minebea Mitsumi Inc., led by Chairman Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma, to discuss the company’s continued expansion in Cambodia.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during the meeting, H.E. Hem Vanndy commended Minebea for its contribution to Cambodia’s economy and job creation, congratulating the company on its success in the Royal Group Phnom Penh Special Economic Zone and its new plant in Pursat SEZ.

H.E. Minister highlighted the government’s investment in connecting the Pursat SEZ to the water supply system of the Pursat Water Supply Utilities to ensure a clean water supply that meets the standard quality and requirements of global electronics component manufacturers like Minebea.

Mr. Kainuma expressed appreciation for MISTI’s direct support in securing quality water supply for production. He noted that Minebea Mitsumi’s 20-hectare facility in PPSEZ is thriving, with its Pursat factory on track for completion in October.

“Everything is going smoothly, and we thank MISTI for answering our request for clean water supply. You have given us the confidence for our expansion,” he stated.
