Tourism Minister Engages with Outgoing Czech Ambassador to Strengthen Bilateral Ties

Phnom penh: H.E. Huot Hak, Minister of Tourism, engaged in a farewell meeting with H.E. Martin V¡vra, the outgoing Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Cambodia. This meeting marked the conclusion of Ambassador V¡vra’s diplomatic mission and focused on the evolving relations between the two nations.

 

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Ambassador V¡vra expressed satisfaction with the ongoing development of relations between Cambodia and the Czech Republic, highlighting the productive cooperation across various sectors, including tourism. He emphasized the intention to continue strengthening these ties for the mutual benefit of both countries and their citizens.

 

Minister Huot Hak congratulated Ambassador V¡vra on the successful completion of his diplomatic mission. He commended the Ambassador’s efforts and collaboration over the years, urging him to advocate for Cambodia’s political, security, economic, and social progress, alongside the country’s investment opportunities and tourism potential, to leaders, investors, and citizens in the Czech Republic.

 

The influx of Czech tourists to Cambodia has shown a steady increase, with nearly 4,000 in 2023, rising to around 6,000 in 2024. In the first five months of this year alone, nearly 4,000 Czech visitors were recorded in Cambodia.
