TH Automotive Manufacturing to Launch Vehicle Assembly Plant in Cambodia by 2026

Phnom penh: TH Automotive Manufacturing Co., Ltd. is set to officially launch its vehicle assembly plant in Cambodia in 2026, marking a significant expansion in the country's automotive sector. The announcement was made during a meeting between Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, and Mr. Norm Tong, Chairman of TH Automotive Manufacturing, held at the Peace Palace.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Mr. Norm Tong expressed gratitude to the Royal Government and relevant ministries for their ongoing support. He shared updates on the company's progress, highlighting that TH Automotive Manufacturing holds exclusive distribution rights for GAC and Chevrolet vehicles in Cambodia and has expanded its investment to establish an assembly plant for these brands.

The recently completed plant has commenced preliminary operations and currently employs approximately 250 workers, all trained to ensure the production of quality vehicles at affordable prices for Cambodian consumers. Mr. Norm Tong extended an invitation to the Prime Minister to preside over the official inauguration of the plant in 2026.

In response, Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet praised the company's initiatives and expressed confidence in its continued growth. He emphasized the importance of such investments in creating jobs, facilitating technology transfer, and providing quality products. The Prime Minister reiterated the Royal Government's commitment to supporting a competitive investment environment.

At the meeting's conclusion, Samdech Thipadei encouraged TH Automotive Manufacturing to explore partnerships with local enterprises to supply automotive components, thereby enhancing the national economy's value.
