Phnom penh: The second meeting between the Cambodian National Police and the Thai delegation, initially set for September 26, 2025, to discuss the draft action plan on cooperation against cross-border crimes, including cybercrime and human trafficking, has been postponed at Thailand’s request. H.E. Lt. Gen. Seang Thearith, Deputy Commissioner-General of the National Police and Head of the Cambodian delegation, confirmed the delay, noting that Cambodia is waiting for an official notification letter from Thailand regarding a new date.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the minutes of the first meeting held on September 16, 2025, indicated an agreement for Cambodia to host the second meeting to review the draft action plan. The Cambodian side had already prepared the invitation, agenda, and venue for the meeting. However, on September 24, the Thai side informally notified the Royal Thai Police Attach© at the Embassy in Phnom Penh of its request to postpone the meeting.
