Phnom Penh:Banteay Meanchey: Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet visited local people affected by flash floods in Banteay Meanchey province.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the visit underscored the Prime Minister's attention to those suffering from the floods triggered by Typhoon Surigae. Banteay Meanchey is one of 10 provinces impacted by the flooding since last Saturday.

The floods have affected 39 cities and districts across the provinces of Kratie, Thbong Khmum, Kampong Cham, Kampong Thom, Battambang, Pailin, Pursat, Preah Vihear, Siem Reap, and Banteay Meanchey. As of September 28, approximately 44,800 families have been affected, with around 3,600 families forced to evacuate.
