Phnom penh: Cambodia has confirmed that Charlie Tiu Hay Ang, also known as Atong Ang, who is wanted by Philippine authorities for a series of alleged crimes, is not present in the Kingdom.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, a statement from the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation released on Saturday reveals that an official report from the Immigration General Department of the Ministry of the Interior shows no record of Charlie Tiu Hay Ang's entry into or exit from Cambodia through any border checkpoints.

This clarification is issued to dispel recent media reports suggesting that Charlie Tiu Hay Ang may be hiding in Cambodia, while a team of Philippine police officers had been dispatched to search for him, said the Spokesperson.
