Over 1,700 kg of Gold Extracted in Six Months

Renaissance Minerals Cambodia has refined 1,751 kilogrammes of gold ore as of early February after six months of extraction operation.

Speaking at the inauguration ceremony of a portion of National Road No. 7 in Kratie province on Feb. 7, Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, stated that the gold produced in Mondulkiri in the past six months reached 1,751 kilogrammes.

Nearly a hundred kilogrammes is extracted a day, Samdech Techo Hun Sen added.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister continued that the extracted gold from Renaissance Minerals Cambodia was exported to Australia for refining.

Cambodia still has potential for gold and other minerals for investment, he underlined.

The Renaissance Minerals Cambodia started refining gold in June 2021, becoming the first commercial gold refining company in Cambodia.

According to the plan, the company can produce about 3 tonnes of gold ore per year in the first eight years.
