New Senate Building in Cambodia to Be Inaugurated Under Royal Patronage

Phnom penh: The newly constructed Senate building in Cambodia is set to be officially inaugurated under the royal presidency of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath, King of Cambodia. This significant event marks the completion of a major architectural project within the country's parliamentary framework.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the inspection of the new building was conducted by Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, President of the Senate, earlier today. The visit followed a farewell courtesy call by H.E. Mohammed Ismaeil A. Dahlwy, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Cambodia, highlighting the building's importance on both a national and international stage.

The construction of the Senate building commenced on August 9, 2024, and is anticipated to reach completion by the end of this month. The structure, which stands four stories tall, spans an area of 79 by 47 square metres and is situated within the existing Senate compound, providing an enhanced venue for legislative activities.
