National Assembly Members Provide Essential Aid to Banteay Meanchey Residents

Banteay meanchey: National Assembly Second Vice President H.E. Vong Sauth and fellow lawmaker H.E. Keo Piseth extended essential aid to individuals displaced by the ongoing conflict with Thailand in Phnom Srok district, Banteay Meanchey province. The aid package, comprising food, clothing, and other necessary provisions, was distributed on Sunday in Srah Chhuk village.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the delivery of the aid was facilitated by Mr. Moeurt Rattanak, Personal Assistant to the Second Vice President and National Assembly Deputy Director-General of International Relations, Protocol, and Information. The initiative underscores the commitment of national leaders to support citizens affected by the conflict.

Deputy District Governor Ms. Prinh Savong emphasized the significance of the donations, describing them as a manifestation of solidarity and patriotism. "Khmers helping Khmers, both within and outside the country, support our frontline troops, coming together as one force," she stated. She further highlighted the collective strength of the community, calling it a "formidable force of great solidarity, the most powerful weapon in defeating and eliminating the enemy."

The aid package included substantial quantities of essential supplies: 3,500 kg of rice, 58 cases of noodles, 25 cases of infant milk powder, 20 cases of boxed milk, 3 cases of mixed fruits, 5 cases of cookies, 20 cases of diapers, 200 blankets, and 5,000 sets of clothing. This assistance aims to alleviate the hardships faced by the displaced individuals and showcases the spirit of unity among the Cambodian people.
