Multi-National Tourist Arrival Boosts Sihanoukville as Cruise Destination

Sihanoukville: The international cruise ship REGAIN arrived at the Sihanoukville Autonomous Port today, bringing over 600 international tourists of various nationalities to Cambodia. The Marshall Islands-flagged vessel, measuring 180.45 metres in length and 25.46 metres in width with a draft of 6 metres, carried 641 tourists-335 of whom were female-representing 23 different nationalities. The ship's crew of 396 individuals, including 106 women, hailed from 43 nationalities.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, immigration police at the Sihanoukville International Port reported that the REGAIN departed from a port in Thailand and docked in Sihanoukville at 9:40 a.m. today. It is scheduled to depart at 7:00 p.m. for its next destination in Vietnam. The passenger list was led by nationals of the United States (341) and Canada (93), with the remainder holding various other citizenships. Two passengers (one female, representing two nationalities) disembarked in Cambodia for sightseeing in Siem Reap province.

While in Sihanoukville, tourists visited several local attractions.
