Phnom penh: The Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (MPTC) launched the TranslateKH 2.0 programme to enhance translation from Khmer to English and from English to Khmer to provide convenience to users. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the English-Khmer translation app is now available in the Play Store and App Store, allowing users to download it for free, as stated by the ministry in an announcement. The second generation of the TranslateKH translation programme is designed to understand and translate based on the context of translation content rather than just focusing on sentence construction. This capability is achieved through the use of artificial intelligence technology combined with deep learning techniques and a large language model. The first-generation TranslateKH translation programme was officially launched by the Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications on November 25, 2024.
