Phnom penh: Chann Sinath, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM), led a kick-off meeting with a delegation from the Asian Development Bank (ADB) here on Feb. 17 to review the progress of the Irrigated Agriculture Improvement Project and Additional Financing (IAIP-AF).
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the meeting was held to review progress and assess both achievements and remaining challenges for identifying strategic keys to accelerate implementation in accordance with the agreed ADB action plan.
H.E. Chann Sinath emphasised that the ADB's contribution is essential for ensuring project implementation is efficient, transparent, and responsive to the actual needs of farmers within the target regions. He expressed high appreciation for the excellent cooperation with ADB, particularly the support for the water resources and meteorology sectors and the modernisation of Cambodia's National Centre for Water Resources and Meteorology Data Management.
