Rabat:Director General of National Security and Territorial Surveillance, Abdellatif Hammouchi, hosted a meeting with Ahmed Abdel Rahman Al-Bakr, the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Morocco, on Thursday in Rabat.

According to Agence Marocaine De Presse, the meeting emphasized the historic and strong ties between Morocco and Kuwait, highlighting both nations' commitment to expanding their partnership. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, particularly in the realm of security, with a shared goal of addressing new security challenges through effective communication and collaboration between the countries' security services.

The talks explored avenues to enhance expertise and experience exchange in various police specialties, especially in combating cross-border organized crime and terrorist threats. Both parties also discussed developing joint training and capacity-building programs to improve the skills and readiness of security officials from both countries.

This initiative aligns with the strategic orientation of Morocco's General Directorate of National Security and the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance. It reflects their aim to maintain regional and international openness and to strengthen Arab security partnerships, adhering to the vision of the Heads of State of both nations.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Morocco and Kuwait reaffirmed their commitment to intensifying security and intelligence cooperation. They agreed to institutionalize this collaboration through an upcoming security memorandum of understanding, ensuring that their bilateral efforts remain a robust tool for addressing security challenges and risks.
