Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce Explores Investment Opportunities in Cambodia

Phnom penh: A delegation from the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce (MCCC), led by Mr. Dato’ Tony Looi Chee Hong, visited Cambodia to explore the country’s investment potential and opportunities.

 

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the delegation was welcomed on Aug. 11 by H.E. Soun Sophal, Deputy Secretary General of the Cambodian Investment Board under the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC), at the CDC headquarters in Phnom Penh. The briefing was also attended by Oknha Tan Khee Meng, President of the Malaysian Business Chamber in Cambodia (MBCC).

 

During the meeting, H.E. Soun Sophal provided an overview of Cambodia’s investment law, along with the Royal Government’s supportive policies and incentive frameworks that contribute to the Kingdom’s investment climate. He highlighted the importance of ongoing dialogue between the public and private sectors promoted by the Royal Government of Cambodia, citing successful cooperation platforms such as Cambodia-Japan, Cambodia-Republic of Korea, Cambodia-USA, and Cambodia-Europe.

 

The Government-Private Sector Forum (G-PSF) was mentioned as a key mechanism for sustaining investor confidence and fostering a warm, stable environment for continued investment in Cambodia.
