Founder and Chairman of Prince Group Arrested and Extradited to China

Phnom penh: Chen Zhi, Founder and Chairman of Prince Group, has been arrested and extradited to China, according to a press release issued this evening by the Ministry of Interior.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the press release confirmed that Chen Zhi, along with two other Chinese nationals - Xu Ji Liang and Shao Ji Hui - were arrested by Cambodian authorities and transferred to the People's Republic of China. The arrests were made within the framework of international cooperation aimed at combating transnational crime, following a request from Chinese authorities.

The operation, which took place on January 6, 2026, was the result of several months of joint investigative efforts by the Kingdom of Cambodia and the People's Republic of China. The Ministry of Interior emphasized that this collaboration reflects the commitment of both nations to address criminal activities that cross borders effectively.

Furthermore, the Ministry of Interior revealed that Chen Zhi's Cambodian nationality had been revoked by a Royal Decree, issued by His Majesty the King. This action was carried out in accordance with the Law on Nationality of the Kingdom of Cambodia in December 2025, highlighting the legal measures taken by the Cambodian government in relation to this case.
