Digital Government Forum 2025 to Take Place in December

Phnom penh: The Ministry of Post and Telecommunications will host the Digital Government Forum 2025 and related national and international events from Dec. 5 to 7 in Phnom Penh, under the theme ‘Accelerating Digital Future: Governance, Growth, and Global Partnerships.’

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the three-day forum aims to showcase Cambodia’s progress in digital governance, boost the country’s competitiveness in the ASEAN digital sector, promote cooperation and partnerships, and share digital innovations from both government institutions and the private sector.

The Digital Government Forum 2025, described as Cambodia’s largest digital technology event, will feature a forum for sharing experiences on digital transformation, governance, and emerging technologies, particularly artificial intelligence; and a digital technology exhibition displaying achievements, digital government programmes and platforms (DGPs), and digital solutions from ministries, institutions, companies, and start-ups.

There will also be national and international side events organised in collaboration with the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (UNESCO), United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), International Telecommunication Union (ITU), German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), Japan-ASEAN Integration Fund (JAIF), and the Plug and Play Tech Centre from Silicon Valley, USA.

The inaugural forum was held in March 2024 under the presidency of Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet and attracted numerous experts and senior officials from Cambodia and across ASEAN.
