COVID-19: 311 New Recoveries, but 140 New Infections and a New Death

Cambodia this morning registered 311 new recoveries from COVID-19; bringing the total cured cases to 130,028, the Ministry of Health pointed out in a press release.

But at the same time, it added, 140 new cases of COVID-19 were reported, all of Omicron variant, of which 125 were locally transmitted and 15 were imported.

The Kingdom’s COVID-19 tally now rose to 134,492, including 14,039 Omicron cases (12,787 Omicron community cases).

Moreover, another COVID-19 patient has lost his/her life; the death toll thus stood at 3,049, the same source said.

The first COVID-19 case was detected in Cambodia in late January 2020 in Preah Sihanouk province.
