Clean Energy Week 2025 Convenes in Phnom Penh

Phnom penh: Clean Energy Week 2025 kicked off in Phnom Penh on Oct. 2, highlighting how clean energy can drive Cambodia’s economic competitiveness and industrial growth.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, this year’s event features exhibitions, panel discussions, and interactive sessions designed to highlight how Cambodia’s clean energy transition will unlock inclusive and sustainable economic growth. H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology and Innovation, presided over the opening ceremony.

The event aims to build consensus for the actions needed to make this future a reality and will foster partnerships to drive the clean energy transition through inspiring discussions, showcasing innovative programmes and solutions, and providing networking opportunities.

Panel discussions are focusing on the clean energy economy, the importance of increasing solar power to boost Cambodia’s garment sector, and how clean energy is foundational for Cambodia’s economic growth across key sectors.

Clean Energy Week is an annual event that showcases success stories, best practices, technical innovation, and cutting-edge policy analysis to drive the deployment of clean energy in Cambodia. It fosters deep collaborations between development partners, government policymakers, and the private sector while raising public awareness of clean energy for a large local audience.
