Banteay meanchey: Cambodia’s Military Region 5 has extended an invitation to Thailand’s Army Region 1 to participate in a Regional Border Committee (RBC) Meeting, scheduled from Oct. 10 to 12, 2025, in the Cambodian province of Banteay Meanchey.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the information was shared this evening by H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata, Spokeswoman for the Cambodian Ministry of National Defence. The RBC meeting aims to promote the continuation of the full and effective implementation of the ceasefire agreement between Cambodia and Thailand. The goal is to foster practical cooperation to enhance peace and stability and to restore normalcy in the relations between the two countries, the spokeswoman emphasized.
