Phnom penh: Cambodian Minister of Tourism, His Excellency Huot Hak, has formally called on All Nippon Airways (ANA) to resume direct flight services between Japan and Cambodia. The request was made during a recent bilateral meeting with ANA representative Mr. Eiji Yamakita, held on the sidelines of the Japan Tourism Expo 2025 and the Tourism Ministers’ Roundtable Meeting in Nagoya.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Minister Huot Hak extended his gratitude to ANA for its longstanding contributions to Cambodia’s tourism industry. He emphasized the airline’s pivotal role in promoting the Kingdom’s tourism potential and transporting a substantial number of Japanese and international visitors.
In his appeal, the Minister highlighted the compelling reasons for the route’s reinstatement. He pointed to Cambodia’s robust tourism prospects, its stable peace and security, and the advanced operational capabilities of the new Techo International Airport as favorable factors for the resumption of direct air links.
