Cambodian PM to Give Virtual Address to 27th International Conference on “the Future of Asia”

Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will join the Head of States/Governments and other high personalities from Asian countries in addressing the 27th International Conference on “the Future of Asia” under the theme “Redefining Asia’s Role in a Divided World,” at the invitation of Mr. HASEBE Tsuyoshi, President and CEO of Nikkei Inc.

According to a press release of the Cambodian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the 27th International Conference on “the Future of Asia” will be held in a hybrid format on May 26-27, 2022 in Tokyo, Japan.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister, in his virtual address, will highlight the post COVID-19 socio-economic recovery, the continued pressure on global security environment, the geopolitical competition between great powers, and the significance of multilateralism and rules-based international cooperation.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister will also focus on Cambodia’s post COVID-19 economic recovery plans, efforts to address climate change and transnational terrorism, as well as Cambodia and ASEAN’s role in building a bright future for Asia and beyond.

Samdech Techo Prime Minister’s virtual participation in the above-mentioned international conference will demonstrate Cambodia’s commitment to play an active role in building a sustainable future for Asia and the world, particularly for the post COVID-19 recovery.
