Cambodian parliament will host the 11th Asia-Europe Parliamentary Partnership Meeting (ASEP11) on Nov. 16, 2021 via videoconferencing.
ASEP11 is an official side-event of the 13th Summit of the Asia Europe Meeting (ASEM13) to be virtually held by Cambodia this year on Nov. 25-26 in Phnom Penh capital.
According to the past practice, ASEP11 generally takes place ahead of the Summit day in order to congratulate the contributions of the exchange of invaluable views among participating delegates to the aforementioned crucial event.
Themed of “Strengthening Parliamentary Partnership for Peace and Sustainable Development in the Era of COVID-19 and Beyond”, the ASEP11 will offer a tremendous opportunity for honourable parliamentary delegates from member countries to thoroughly discuss the Meeting Statement, and share views on topics related the crucial theme of the Meeting among the three Panel Discussions, underlined a press release of the Cambodian National Assembly issued yesterday.
“The parliament of the Kingdom of Cambodia is firmly convinced lively discussions in the Meeting among parliamentarians from our two old continents, where we have successfully mastered nature, built shining civilisations, achieved development and prosperity despite devastating wars, would be a further effort by humanity to constantly aim for concrete ideas to preserve peace, stability and cooperation towards a stable and inclusive development in the face of the COVID-19 crisis and beyond,” added the source.
