Cambodian NA President Sends Congratulations to Germany on 35th National Day

Phnom penh: Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, the President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has sent a congratulatory message to H.E. Ms. Julia Klöckner, President of the German Bundestag, in celebration of Germany’s 35th National Day. The message, sent yesterday, underscores the importance of this historic occasion, marking German Unity Day on October 3.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Samdech Khuon Sudary emphasized the strong bilateral ties between Cambodia and Germany that have developed significantly over the years. These relations have seen considerable achievements in various sectors, including trade, investment, and people-to-people connections. She highlighted Germany’s role as a key development partner for Cambodia.

In her message, the Cambodian National Assembly President noted the progress in parliamentary cooperation between the two nations, pointing to the growing exchanges on both bilateral and multilateral platforms. She expressed confidence that
these ties would continue to evolve, benefiting both countries and their citizens.

The message concluded with Samdech Khuon Sudary extending her best wishes for the health and success of H.E. Ms. Julia Klöckner and for the ongoing prosperity of the Federal Republic of Germany. The two leaders last met during the Sixth World Conference of Speakers of Parliament in Geneva, Switzerland, in July 2025.
