Seoul: The Ambassadors of Cambodia and Timor-Leste to South Korea met Thursday to discuss deepening bilateral ties and coordinating strategies within the ASEAN framework.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Cambodian Ambassador Khuon Phon Rattanak met with Ambassador Ant³nio de S¡ Benevides at the Timor-Leste Embassy, where he reaffirmed Cambodia's support following Timor-Leste's historic accession as the 11th member of ASEAN in October 2025.

H.E. Khuon Phon Rattanak characterised the membership as a testament to the "fruitful efforts" of the Timor-Leste government toward regional integration.

The two envoys pledged to enhance direct collaboration between their diplomatic missions in Seoul while exploring new avenues for partnership between Phnom Penh and Dili as Timor-Leste integrates further into the regional bloc.
