“We would like to ascertain you that Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, is a national hero of the Kingdom of Cambodia who has led the struggle movement to end the-more-than-two-decade-war and brought the full and complete peace, territorial unity, happiness and prosperity to Cambodian people and the Kingdom of Cambodia,” wrote H.E. Koeut Rith, Minister of Justice of Cambodia in his letter dated Oct. 6 to H.E. Mrs. Stephie Dracos Minister of Justice and Public Order of Cyprus.

“Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia only has Khmer citizenship and has publicly and frequently announced to Cambodian people his unwavering political stance of ‘staying with Cambodian people, rain or shine and will never run away from Cambodian people and the Kingdom of Cambodia, no matter how hard the circumstance is’. As the highest political figure with highest respect and deepest love and gratitude from Cambodian people of all walks of life, the publication of exaggerative and false allegations against Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HUN SEN, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, seriously damages honour and integrity of the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia as well as those of Cambodian people and the Kingdom of Cambodia as a whole,” the letter underlined.

The Ministry of Justice of the Kingdom of Cambodia thus requested its Cypriot counterpart’s cooperation in investigating and officially providing the truth in relation to the exaggerative and false allegations that the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia holds a passport of the Republic of Cyprus, in order to show the truth to the public and Cambodian people as a whole as well as to preserve the honour and integrity of the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia.
