Phnom penh: Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of Cambodia, recently received donations of funds and supplies from three of her advisers. These contributions are intended for soldiers and displaced civilians affected by ongoing border challenges.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Samdech Sudary expressed gratitude for the generosity and national solidarity demonstrated by the donors. She emphasized that the donations would support both the Cambodian troops and citizens, highlighting the unity behind the Royal Government and armed forces in their efforts to defend the country's territorial integrity.
She underscored that this national unity, which includes citizens, monks, civil servants, leaders, and His Majesty the King, is vital for supporting the Royal Government and military in their mission to protect the nation. The donations will be distributed by provincial authorities in border regions such as Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, Banteay Meanchey, Battambang, Pursat, and Koh Kong, targeting frontline troops and displaced individuals. Additional resources will be directed to soldiers undergoing hospital treatment and to the families of fallen troops.
The National Assembly remains committed to accepting and distributing all charitable donations to the intended beneficiaries, with the aim of bolstering morale and maintaining strong connections between those on the front lines and the public they protect.
