Cambodia and Lao People’s Democratic Republic have pledged to continue strengthening parliamentary cooperation.
The commitment were made during the farewell meeting between Samdech Akka Moha Sena Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin, President of Cambodian National Assembly (NA) and outgoing Ambassador of Laos to Cambodia H.E. Amphay Kindavong, at the NA Palace on Dec. 28.
Samdech Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin deeply appreciated H.E. Amphay Kindavong’s mission in Cambodia, particularly in promoting cultural cooperation, solidarity and beyond.
He also spoke highly of the two governments’ political, diplomatic, and socio-economic cooperation fostered by the Ambassador.
Bilateral cooperation in trade, investment, tourism, education and vocational training between Cambodia and Laos mutually benefited the two neighbours.
H.E. Amphay Kindavong expressed his appreciation of Cambodian NA for the good cooperation so far.
He also thanked the Cambodian NA as well as the Royal Government of Cambodia for the support to Laos in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
