Cambodia: Cambodia's Minister of Post and Telecommunications, H.E. Chea Vandeth, led a high-level delegation to Tbilisi on Tuesday to exchange expertise on digital government transformation, signaling a new chapter in bilateral cooperation. The visit, organised at the invitation of the Georgian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, included a key meeting between Minister Vandeth and Georgia's Acting Foreign Minister, H.E. Alexander Khvtisiashvili.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during the discussions, Minister Khvtisiashvili expressed a strong commitment to deepening ties through both bilateral and multilateral frameworks, with a specific focus on digital integration. Minister Vandeth highlighted Cambodia's recent strides in digital governance, noting that the Kingdom's technological advancements have gained increasing international recognition and have significantly streamlined processes for international travelers.

In a significant diplomatic development, the Georgian side expressed its intention to establish a Visa on Arrival policy for Cambodian citizens. Currently, Cambodians wishing to visit Georgia must apply in person at the Georgian Embassy in Malaysia. The move is expected to bolster tourism and business exchanges between the two countries by removing significant travel barriers.

Both nations agreed to share best practices in e-governance and digital infrastructure. This includes Georgia moving toward Visa-on-Arrival for Cambodian passport holders, with a mutual commitment to enhance diplomatic and economic relations.
