AVISENA BUILDS NEW WING TO EXPAND HEALTH SERVICES TO KLANG VALLEY RESIDENTS

SHAH ALAM, Avisena Healthcare today launched its strategic development effort by constructing an additional building for Avisena Specialist Hospital here, which is expected to be operational by 2027 to meet the growing population needs in the Klang Valley.

Avisena Healthcare Group CEO, Elina Nadia Omar said the additional building will provide 275 beds, 35 sub-specialties, over 80 specialist suites, 10 advanced operating theatres, one hybrid operating theatre and comprehensive oncology services.

She said the 11-storey building will be connected to the existing building through a two-storey enclosed bridge, featuring a modern ‘Biophilic’ architectural design concept that promotes a health recovery environment through natural elements.

‘Here, we also lead in the holistic Trauma Unit expertise covering plastic, aesthetic and reconstructive surgery, particularly in the context of burn or accident wound treatment.

‘At the same time, Avisena has taken the initiative to improve waiting times with existing capac
ity through smart technology that will be adapted to healthcare to be implemented more efficiently,’ she said in her speech at the Groundbreaking Ceremony for the Additional Building of Avisena Specialist Hospital here today.

Elina Nadia said the new building, which will offer oncology services or cancer treatment with day care facilities, chemotherapy and radiotherapy, will not only be able to provide early treatment and diagnosis but also raise awareness about the disease within the community.

She said Avisena’s efforts to improve healthcare quality will continue with the construction of a ‘Smart Healthcare’ concept hospital equipped with 250 beds in Cyberjaya, expected to begin in early 2026.

Avisena Specialist Hospital Cyberjaya will become the first private hospital developed based on the Smart Healthcare concept, which is healthcare driven by artificial intelligence (AI), automation, robotics and precision medicine, she said.
