Siem reap: Angkor Archaeological Park, Cambodia’s most iconic tourism site, welcomed 705,269 foreign visitors between January and September 2025, marking a 0.77 percent increase compared to the same period last year, according to a report released Thursday by Angkor Enterprise, the body overseeing entrance pass sales.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, ticket sales generated nearly US$3 million in revenue, reflecting a year-on-year rise of 0.57 percent, the report added. H.E. Ms. Hun Dany, Secretary of State and Spokeswoman of the Ministry of Tourism, attributed the growth to stronger promotional efforts and improved convenience for visitors. ‘The increase is a good result of cooperation between the government and the private sector in promoting tourism potential,’ she underlined.
Located in Siem Reap province, the 401-square-kilometre park is home to 91 ancient temples built between the 9th and 13th centuries. Angkor was inscribed on UNESCO’s World Heritage List in 1992 and remains Cambodia’s most popular tourist destination.
