Phnom penh: Vietnam's Ambassador to Cambodia met with the Commander-In-Chief of the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces (RCAF) on Wednesday, reinforcing the commitment between the two neighboring countries to strengthen bilateral ties ahead of the traditional Khmer New Year.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Ambassador H.E. Nguyen Minh Vu engaged in discussions with H.E. General Vong Pisen at the RCAF headquarters in Phnom Penh. This meeting is part of a customary goodwill exchange ahead of the national holiday, which will be celebrated from April 14-16.
Ambassador H.E. Nguyen Minh Vu emphasized the enduring historical connections between Vietnam and Cambodia, noting that the two nations have historically supported each other in their respective struggles for national liberation. He characterized the current state of relations as a phase of "comprehensive cooperation," which continues to yield beneficial outcomes for both countries.
H.E. General Vong Pisen expressed gratitude to the ambassador and the Vietnamese military attach©, highlighting the visit as an affirmation of the "unshakeable friendship, solidarity, and long-term cooperation" shared by the two countries and their military forces.
