Phnom penh: During the three-day Khmer Traditional New Year holiday from April 14 to 16, a total of 27 traffic accidents were recorded nationwide, according to the National Police Commissariat. The incidents resulted in 17 fatalities and 45 individuals sustaining serious and minor injuries.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, April 16 witnessed the highest number of traffic accidents, with 12 incidents reported across the country. These accidents led to six deaths and 25 injuries. On April 15, nine accidents were documented, resulting in six fatalities and 14 injuries. Meanwhile, April 14 saw six accidents, which left five individuals dead and six others injured.
