President of Myanmar to Undertake State Visit to Cambodia Tomorrow

Phnom penh: H.E. U Min Aung Hlaing, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, is set to pay a State Visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia from September 11 to 12, 2026. This visit comes at the invitation of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during his visit, President U Min Aung Hlaing will engage in a summit meeting with Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Acting Head of State. He will also partake in bilateral discussions with Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia.

The discussions between the leaders of the two nations will focus on enhancing the close bilateral relations and exploring opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation. They will also exchange views on regional and international issues of shared interest.

President U Min Aung Hlaing is scheduled to lay wreaths at the Independence Monument and the Royal Statue of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Norodom Sihanouk "Preah Borom Ratanak Kaudh," the late King-Father of Cambodia.

The press release highlights that the State Visit of President U Min Aung Hlaing underscores the commitment to further strengthening the warm bonds of friendship between Cambodia and Myanmar.

The diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar were officially established on July 12, 1955.
