Phnom penh: H.E. U Min Aung Hlaing, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, has commenced his two-day State Visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia, following an invitation from His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah Boromneath Norodom Sihamoni, King of Cambodia. The Myanmar leader was received at Techo International Airport earlier today by H.E. Thor Chetha, Minister of Water Resources and Meteorology, serving as Minister-in-Attendance, along with several senior officials.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during his visit, President U Min Aung Hlaing is scheduled for a summit meeting with Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen, Acting Head of State, and will engage in bilateral discussions with Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of Cambodia. The discussions will focus on enhancing bilateral relations and expanding cooperation that benefits both nations, alongside exchanging views on regional and international issues of shared interest.

As part of his visit, President U Min Aung Hlaing will also lay wreaths at the Independence Monument and at the Royal Statue of His Majesty Preah Bat Samdech Preah NORODOM SIHANOUK "PREAH BOROM RATANAK KAUDH", the late King-Father of Cambodia. The visit underscores the ongoing commitment to strengthening the friendship between Myanmar and Cambodia, as highlighted in the press release.

Diplomatic relations between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of the Union of Myanmar were officially established on July 12, 1955.
