Ministry of Tourism Partners with U.S.-ASEAN Business Council to Boost Cambodia’s Tourism and Investment

Phnom penh: Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak and H.E. Ambassador Ted Osius, Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director of the U.S.-ASEAN Business Council (U.S.-ABC), convened a meeting to discuss collaborative efforts in advancing Cambodia’s tourism sector.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, during the meeting, H.E. Ambassador Osius acknowledged Cambodia’s advancements since his initial visit in 1996. He noted the contentment of U.S. investors with their ventures in Cambodia, highlighting their enhanced understanding of the current landscape and the new investment opportunities presented by the Royal Government of Cambodia.

H.E. Huot Hak conveyed his appreciation to H.E. Ted Osius and the council members from companies such as ConocoPhillips, Marriott International, Mastercard, Visa, Ford and RMA, Coca-Cola, and Vriens and Partners. He acknowledged their decision to invest millions in Cambodia, reflecting their confidence in the country’s governance.

The Minister assured the delegation of Cambodia’s commitment to maintaining peace, political stability, and safety, along with providing guarantees and incentives to investors. These efforts aim to attract foreign investors to Cambodia, a nation with rich tourism potential and enticing investment opportunities.

Both parties concurred on the significant tourism potential and investment prospects that Cambodia holds. They intend to collaborate in promoting these opportunities to draw more U.S. tourists and investors to the Kingdom, encouraging them to discover new ventures.
