KUALA LUMPUR, Kumpulan Kitacon Bhd's wholly owned subsidiary, Kitacon Sdn Bhd has bagged a construction works contract worth RM111.23 million from Sime Darby Property (Bukit Raja) Sdn Bhd. In a filing with Bursa Malaysia, the group said the contract entails the construction and completion of 28 units of detached factories with two-storey offices and two units of Tenaga Nasional Bhd (TNB) substations, including infrastructure and other associated works in Bandar Bukit Raja III, Klang, Selangor. "The contract shall commence on Sept 2, 2024, to be completed within 23 months from the commencement date," it said. The group added that the contract is expected to contribute positively to the earnings and net assets per share of Kumpulan Kitacon for the financial years ending Dec 31, 2024 onwards until the expiry of the contract.
