The delegation engaged in high-level meetings with key Cambodian officials, including Prime Minister Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Sun Chanthol, and H.E. Wang Wenbin, Ambassador of China to Cambodia. They held the 'Greater Bay Area Momentum · New Opportunities Across the Seas - China-Cambodia Investment and Trade Cooperation Summit' and toured significant economic sites such as Canadia Group, Sihanoukville Special Economic Zone, and Sihanoukville Autonomous Port.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the visit aimed to strengthen ties and explore emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, green energy, and healthcare. The discussions focused on leveraging Cambodia's improving business environment and infrastructure to foster long-term government-business engagement and advance cooperation across multiple sectors. Both sides agreed on the implementation of ten key projects, aiming to create a one-stop service chain for enterprises expanding overseas and deepen China-Cambodia economic and trade cooperation.
On August 7, Dr. Choi and the delegation met with Prime Minister Hun Manet and other senior officials to discuss Cambodia's new economy and industrial cooperation with China. Dr. Choi highlighted Cambodia's transformation, particularly the opening of Techo International Airport, which has bolstered the nation's international image and investor confidence. He emphasized the importance of reliable energy and regulatory frameworks for implementing new economy projects, including artificial intelligence and advanced healthcare solutions.
