Foreign Military Attach©s from 12 Nations Visit Prey Chan Village

Prey chan: A delegation of foreign military attach©s to Cambodia from 12 countries inspected the situation on the ground in Prey Chan village, O'Beichoan commune, O'Chrov district, Banteay Meanchey province on the afternoon of Mar. 4.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the visit aimed to observe the site of the attack, the barbed wire installations, the illegal placement of shipping containers by the Thai military, and to assess the implementation of the ceasefire between Cambodia and Thailand, which took effect at 12:00 p.m. on Dec. 27, 2025.

H.E. Lt. Gen. Maly Socheata, Spokeswoman for the Ministry of National Defence, emphasised that since the ceasefire came into effect, the Royal Government of Cambodia and the Ministry of National Defence have consistently reaffirmed their firm and clear commitment to fully, strictly, and responsibly implement the Joint Statement of the 3rd Special Meeting of the Cambodia-Thailand General Border Committee (GBC) dated Dec. 27, 2025; the Joint Declaration on the Peace Agreement between Cambodia and Thailand dated Oct. 26, 2025; and other related agreements.

These efforts aim to swiftly improve the situation and restore normalcy, peace, stability, and long-term security along the border, she added.
