Phnom penh: Cambodia's Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport (MoEYS) and the Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and Samdech Kittiprittpundit Scholarship Students Association (A.M.T) have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) aimed at bolstering the development of human resources in the country. According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the MoU was signed by Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony, President of A.M.T Association, and H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sport. The signing ceremony took place at the association's headquarters in Phnom Penh and was attended by senior government officials, university leaders, scholarship committee members, and education personnel. Dr. Pich Chanmony emphasized the importance of developing human capital with the necessary knowledge, professional skills, good health, and ethics. She underscored the need for active participation from all stakeholders to invest in appropriate guidance and 21st-century skills, w hich are crucial for Cambodia's future economic potential and sustainable development. She acknowledged the Ministry of Education's efforts in promoting partnerships with the A.M.T Association to enhance youth capacity and praised its scholarship programmes initiated in 2008. These programmes align with the Royal Government's Pentagonal Strategy-Phase 1, contributing significantly to human capital development. Dr. Pich Chanmony also mentioned the Ministry's support for children of frontline veterans through scholarships and assistance for Cambodian students returning from abroad to continue their studies. These efforts reflect the government's commitment to inclusive education. Deputy Prime Minister Hang Chuon Naron stated that the partnership would position both institutions as strategic partners in expanding equitable access to education for Cambodian youth. He reaffirmed the shared commitment to advancing the country's education sector. Both leaders expressed optimism that the cooperation would nurture Cambodia's younger generation into skilled and capable human resources, significantly contributing to the nation's long-term development.
