Phnom Penh:The Artillery Command troops received a special visit from Commerce Minister H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul on October 4, where she extended Pchum Ben greetings and aimed to boost their morale.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the delegation was warmly welcomed by H.E. Lt. Gen. Pov Sokha, Deputy Commander of the Royal Cambodian Army and Commander of the Artillery Command. He reiterated the unit's commitment to safeguarding national sovereignty and territorial integrity, defending the nation, religion, and King, and fulfilling duties under the Ministry of National Defence and the Royal Cambodian Armed Forces.
Lt. Gen. Pov Sokha expressed gratitude to H.E. Mrs. Cham Nimul and her delegation for their support, emphasizing the solidarity between the people at home and troops on the frontline.
Minister Cham Nimul conveyed greetings and best wishes from Senate President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen and Cambodian Red Cross President Samdech Kittiprittpundit Bun Rany Hun Sen, as well as Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet and First Lady Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony. She acknowledged the troops' dedication, courage, and sacrifices, wishing them health and success during the festival.
The visit also included the provision of essential supplies and equipment to the Artillery Command, such as motorcycles, communication radios, tents, roofing materials, water filtration units, food, and 5 tonnes of rice. Financial assistance totaling 16 million Riel (about US$4,000) was also provided to support the unit and water well construction.
