Cambodian Prime Minister to Lead Delegation at 48th ASEAN Summit in the Philippines

Cebu: Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei HUN Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, will lead a high-level delegation to attend the 48th ASEAN Summit in the Philippines, at the invitation of H.E. Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., President of the Republic of the Philippines and Chair of ASEAN in 2026.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the 48th ASEAN Summit is scheduled to take place from May 7 to 8, 2026, in Cebu, as indicated by a press release issued on Tuesday morning by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The Prime Minister will be accompanied by his spouse, First Lady Dr. PICH Chanmony HUNMANET, and H.E. Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. Other Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, senior government officials, business representatives from the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce, and the Cambodian Oknha Association will also be part of the delegation.

Guided by the theme "Navigating Our Future, Together," the Summit aims to provide a platform for ASEAN Leaders to discuss key issues concerning ASEAN Community Building and the Way Forward. The focus will be on ensuring regional energy security and resilience, stabilising food security, and ensuring the safety of ASEAN nationals. Additionally, there will be discussions on regional and international issues to foster a peaceful, prosperous, inclusive, and resilient future.

On the sidelines of the Summit, the Cambodian Prime Minister is also expected to engage in bilateral meetings with ASEAN counterparts to further enhance mutually beneficial cooperation and shared interests.
