Phnom penh: A high-level Cambodian delegation, led by Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet, is en route to France to participate in the One Health Summit and conduct a working visit in both Lyon and Paris from April 6 to 9. This visit comes at the invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. The delegation was seen off this morning at the Techo International Airport by deputy prime ministers, ministers, and a number of high-ranking government officials.
According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, the One Health Summit is the ninth edition of the One Planet Summit and is a significant event under France's presidency of the G7 in 2026. It is intended as a platform for Heads of State and Government, representatives from international organisations, civil society, scientists, and multilateral development banks to discuss the intertwined challenges facing human health, animal health, and ecosystems.
Samdech Thipadei and Lok Chumteav Dr. Pich Chanmony Hun Manet are joined by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Prak Sokhonn, as well as other Deputy Prime Ministers, Ministers, and senior officials from the Royal Government of Cambodia.
While in France, the Prime Minister is scheduled for bilateral meetings with French dignitaries and leaders from other countries. These meetings aim to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations and explore opportunities for cooperation across a broad range of sectors.
