Cambodian National Assembly President Sends Condolences to Indonesia Over Sumatra Disasters

Phnom penh: Samdech Maha Rathsapheathika Thipadei Khuon Sudary, President of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia, has sent a condolence message to her Indonesian counterpart over the loss of lives due to floods and landslides in Sumatra.

According to Agence Kampuchea Presse, Samdech Khuon Sudary expressed her grief in a message dated Dec. 1 to Honourable Puan Maharani, Speaker of the Indonesian House of Representatives. The message highlighted the severe impact of the natural disasters in Sumatra, which resulted in the loss of lives, displacement of thousands of families, numerous injuries, and significant property damage.

On behalf of the National Assembly of the Kingdom of Cambodia and herself, Samdech Khuon Sudary extended heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the families who have lost loved ones and to those severely affected by the disaster. She emphasized solidarity with the Indonesian people and government during this challenging period and wished for a swift recovery for all the victims and affected communities.
